Jersey Boys

From the Tony Award winning Broadway musical to the silver screen comes Jersey Boys — the story of the iconic 1960s band the Four Seasons and their journey to fame and success.

The film, directed by Clint Eastwood (the mastermind behind Gran Torino and Million Dollar Baby) and is set to come out June 20th. The trailer, which was released in April, makes it seem as though it will be sticking to the original story with the same music — that of the band itself.  The lead, John Lloyd Young as Frankie Valli, won multiple awards for his portrayal of the crooner on Broadway, and has also been in Les Miserables and Glee, among other hits. The other actors are newcomers, such as Erich Bergen as the genius behind the melodies, Bob Gaudio, and Michael Lomenda as band member Nick Massi. One familiar name is illustrious thespian Christopher Walken as crime kingpin Angelo DeCarlo.

If “Jersey Boys” accomplishes the trick task of creating an adaptation that is both true to its source material and just as crowd pleasing, it is sure to be a triumphant winner.
