Softball played a great defensive game versus Radnor on Friday. Despite the team’s outstanding efforts, the Rams lost 4-0. Radnor’s pitcher played extremely well, limiting the Rams’ ability to get on base. Laura Walsh, however, hit a great shot to the outfield and made it to second base. On the defensive end, the Rams had one of their best games of the season. The outfield, with Syd Handel, Sarah Alfred-Levow and Victoria Yuan, kept the Raiders from getting any deep hits. The infield, consisting of Ellie Mearns, Shannon Finnigan, Lyndsey Diebel, and Natalie Jones, also held its own, keeping Radnor to only 4 runs in 7 innings. Special shoutout to pitcher Sonia Groeneveld, who had an amazing game, striking players out with a great change up.
