The hit CBS sitcom, How I Met your Mother, finally came to an end last month after a total of nine seasons. The show starred the talented Josh Radnor, Coby Smulders, Jason Segel, Alyson Hannigan, and of course, Neil Patrick Harris. Over two million people tuned in to see the final episode.

The last season went by slowly, focusing primarily on the present day wedding of Barney and Robin. The finale, however, spanned a total of about twenty years and was packed with many jaw-dropping events. Since many watchers have yet to see the finale, no important details will be revealed in this article.

The last episode received terrible ratings and some fans even signed a petition requesting a new one. The ending was definitely unexpected, and there was a lot of the information that was hard to digest. The writers packed everything in and tried to significantly change the story line — but to what end? Overall, the conclusion was as shocking as it was poorly executed.

For everybody still catching up on How I Met Your Mother, still be sure to enjoy it. Even though some did not appreciate the finale, a number of people did. Say so long to HIMYM!
