RAMs of the Week: Ibby, Fiona and Matt Maruca

RAMs of the Week: Ibby, Fiona and Matt Maruca

This week, we are bringing triple the trouble your way as we interview the Maruca triplets: Ibby, Fiona and Matt. Fiona and Ibby entered this year as freshmen and have gotten into all aspects of Harriton life, while Matt came half way through the year and has just started to make a name for himself here. Their diverse personalities and interests make them an interesting bunch that you must get to know! Although they all look a little different, their sibling quibbles can make any person instantly realize that they are brothers and sisters. Now let us meet the Maruca triplets!

Harriton Banner: So you guys are triplets?

All: Yeah!

HB: Who came out first?

Ibby Maruca: Me.

Fiona Maruca: Then me.

Matt Maruca: I’m last.

HB: Are you guys close?

IM: Yeah. Most of the time!

MM: No, I hate them. Just kidding.

HB: What activities do you do at school?

IM: I do HTC and Mr. Harriton when it is going on.

FM: I do crew, cross country, buildOn and indoor track.

IM: Well aren’t you athletic!

MM: I came to school half way through the year so I didn’t really do that much this year, but next year I am going to run cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. Maybe I will try some clubs that I did not have time to join.

HB: What are you going to do this summer?

IM: We go to camp in Martha’s Vineyard.

FM: Ibby and I go to camp because it is an all girls camp, but we all go to Martha’s Vineyard for the summer.

MM: I will probably do construction work for my dad and maybe travel somewhere with my other family to the West Coast or something.

HB: What is your dream job?

FM: To travel for a living and to live not in America which is not really a job but…

MM: I would want to do something that involves traveling and exploring.

IM: I would want to be a writer or research psychologist or a doodler.

FM: She should be a henna artist!

HB: What is it like being a triplet?

IM: It is interesting. I feel like we do not always see each other because we are all doing our own thing.

FM: It is interesting.

MM: It is like having two siblings in the same grade as you.

HB: Is there any type of twin link between you guys?

IM: Not particularly.

FM: Sometimes we say things at the same time!

HB: What is the worst part and the best part of being a triplet?

MM: Having two sisters in the same grade as you.

IM: Yeah kinda the same thing as Matt.

HB: What is the best vacation you have ever been on?

FM: Nepal was the best trip I have ever taken.

HB: (To Ibby) Why do you hate planes?

IM: I just do not like the idea of one exploding while I am in it.

HB: What do you guys do on Christmas?

FM: Our little brother Liam wakes me up and then I wake them up.

MM: Then we open presents!

HB: Favorite songs?

FM: “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” by Jet.

MM: “Old Man” by Neil Young. But right now I’m really into “Carry On My Wayward Son.”

IM: “How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep” by Bombay Bicycle Club and “Hey Julie” by Fountains of Wayne and “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World.

HB: Worst advice you have ever gotten?

MM: Do everything that you are told to do exactly as you are told to do it. I think you should change it up.
